This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors.

Pre-Arrival

  • Limited bus service to the village from Alnwick and Wooler.
  • Nearest mainline railway station is 16 miles at Berwick Upon Tweed.
  • Nearest Airport is 50 miles at Newcastle International.
  • Local taxi service available.
  • Cycle hire available in Wooler.
  • Hospital, Dentist, Opticians in Alnwick and Berwick.
  • Guests are asked to ring the day before arrival with estimated time of arrival.
  • Deposits are required on advanced booking and the balance is paid eight weeks before your stay. Cash and most credit/debit cards are taken.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

  • Property is located 30 meters from the main road through stone gateposts. Tarmaced drive. The lodge is first on your left through stone gateposts onto a graveled drive, parking for 4 cars.
  • Graveled drive leading to 4 steps. Graveled walk way to front door. 1 step up to front door. Thresh on door.
  • The centre of the village with shop/post office and pub is three quarters of a mile from Chatton Park Lodge.
  • Over door lighting, lighting on house is controlled by switch in the lodge by front door. Torches are provided in two bedrooms and kitchen for additional lighting.
  • You will come to the main house and given your key and then taken to the lodge and given a tour of the Lodge.

Entrance

  • Once inside the lodge hallway has tiled flooring leading to all rooms. Level access to all rooms.

  • Carpeted flooring
  • *Open fire coal etc provided on arrival. Upon departure any coal etc that has been used needs to be replaced.

  • *Also books, games, CD’s and DVD’s for your use

Dressing room

  • Dressing table, wardrobe and set of draws, large floor standing mirror.

  • Super king size bed, 2 side tables, chair, large floor standing mirror.
  • Carpeted flooring.

Bathroom

  • Tiled flooring
  • Bath with over shower
  • Toilet and sink
  • Taps with lever handles

Kitchen

  • Tiled flooring
  • Round wooden table and 4 chairs
  • Cooker
  • Dishwasher
  • Washer
  • Microwave
  • Fridge/freezer

  • Plus fully equipped with all kitchen utensils and dishes.
  • Sink taps have lever handles

Departure

  • Check out is 10am
  • Please bring the key over to the main house by 10am.
  • If you leave earlier please close door and put key through the letter box
